The Communications Team is responsible for Westminster's website, social media accounts, and branding needs. We also function as a marketing resource for the church, as well as a resource for anything having to do with communicating more effectively with the Westminster community and beyond.

Finance Action Group
Working closely with the Treasurer, The Finance Action Group ensures the church’s financial health by facilitating the annual budgeting process, monitoring budget expenses on a monthly basis, and supporting responsible use of resources so the congregation can sustain its ministry.

Membership and Pastoral Care exists to make all feel welcome within our church community, and, when life is difficult, the Pastoral Care Team wants to listen and let the person know they are cared for and loved by God.

Fundraising Action Group
Mandate: to meet the Budget for the Operating Fund by creating and supporting fundraising initiatives. There are various fundraisers planned for 2026/2027.

This group exists to expand the friendship and contacts throughout the church and community and secondly to increase the knowledge of the community in which we live.

The Ministry and Personnel Committee fosters healthy, effective ministry within the pastoral charge by supporting staff, overseeing their relationships and working conditions, conducting regular and annual staff reviews, updating role expectations, encouraging continuing education, making recommendations to the governing body (the executive), and maintaining close connection with the regional Pastoral Relations Committee.

The Outreach for Social Justice Action Group is passionate about supporting the mission of the church in our local community, nationally, and beyond. In our work, we support world issues relevant to the gospel of Christ.

The Property Action Group strives to maintain and improve the property of the church. We make any necessary repairs or upgrades as well as ensure that all regulations are complied with (Fire inspections, Health Department etc)

Stewardship
The Stewardship Action group invites the congregation to deepend their faith through the generosity of giving. Living a life of faith means making a different in the world by employing time, talent, and money for the sake of God’s purposes in the world.

Trustees

We are the ladies who prepare funeral luncheons, coffee shops/cafe lunches, baked goods, tea parties, meals for the Men’s group and large congregational dinners. Our presence is also noticed through participation with events outside of the church such as Bruce Trail lunches and shows. Other times we stay in for some local musical talent, presentations, or demonstrations.
The Worship and Sacraments Action Group develops and oversees all aspects of worship at Westminster United Church, promotes and provides meaningful worship and religious development for all members and adherents of the congregation and visitors.

Worship & Sacraments
The Young Adults Fellowship Group at Westminster is for those aged 18-35 who are looking for community and meaningful conversation with others at their stage of life. We cook and eat together, engage in spiritual and religious conversation, hike and enjoy creation, and support one another.
Lead: Rev. Aidan Legault
At Westminster, we believe in supporting and investing in our youth ministry. Our group meets on Sunday mornings during worship, in our own dedicated space. This year we have three, one-month sessions spaced out through the year. We are an active and flexible group with members from grade 6 - grade 12.
